This page explains the main types of information TradeProfit handles during beta and how that information is used to support daily cash, reconciliation, job profit, receipts, billing, and support.

What TradeProfit collects
TradeProfit collects account details, company setup information, jobs, customers, vendors, expenses, revenue, transactions, reconciliation notes, uploaded receipts and documents, subscription status, and audit logs created while you use the app.
Bank and payment information
Bank connections are handled through Plaid. TradeProfit stores Plaid access tokens server-side and does not expose them in the browser. Payments and subscriptions are handled through Stripe. TradeProfit does not store full card numbers.
Receipts and documents
Uploaded receipts, invoices, quotes, statements, photos, and accounting documents are stored in private company-scoped storage. They are used to support transaction matching, job costing, bookkeeper review, and owner records.
How information is used
TradeProfit uses company data to show daily cash, job profit, gross margin, reconciliation status, reports, alerts, and Profit Foreman explanations. TradeProfit does not sell customer accounting data.
Who can access company data
Company data is scoped by company membership and role. Owners, admins, bookkeepers, and field managers can only access companies they belong to, subject to the app permissions for their role.
Support access
Support may ask for screenshots, error details, or record names to help troubleshoot. Support should never ask for your bank password, full card number, or private Plaid credentials.
Retention and deletion
Inactive billing does not delete company data. During beta, deletion requests should be sent to support. Some records may be retained where needed for security, billing, fraud prevention, audit logs, or legal obligations.
